To observe the in vitro effect of Compound 861 (Cpd861) on MMP 3 mRNA level of HSC-T6 cell. HSC-T6 cells were exposed in different concentrations of Cpd 861 (0.25mg/ml-1.0mg/ml) for 48 hours. MMP 3 mRNA level was measured by quantitative reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) . It shew that MMP 3 mRNA levels of HSC-T6 cell at different concentrations of Cpd 861 were higher than that of normal control (P<0.05, P<0.01) .So the antifibrotic mechanism of Cpd 861 was partly due to its up-regulation on MMP 3 mRNA level of HSC-T6 ceel.
